The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) has issued an official investor alert against TuxAI, also known as Tuxtop. The company is not registered to trade securities in Ontario, making any investment offers illegal under Canadian law.

OSC Official Warning

On April 23, 2026, the OSC warned the public that Tuxtop (TuxAI) is operating without proper registration. The regulator advised Ontarians to avoid the platform and immediately report any contact from the company.

Offering or promoting unregistered securities in Canada is considered securities fraud.

Classic “Click a Button” Ponzi Scheme

TuxAI is a typical MLM click-a-button app Ponzi scheme. Users are promised returns for simply clicking buttons or completing simple daily tasks.

  • Original TuxAI launched in 2024 and mainly targeted users in Italy.
  • The scheme collapsed around October 2025.
  • The old domain tuxtop.com was abandoned after the collapse.

New Reboot in 2026

Scammers relaunched the scheme recently:

  • tuxtop.com re-registered on March 2, 2026
  • New social media profiles created on March 30, 2026
  • Additional domains registered:
    • tux-ai.xyz (March 30)
    • tux-ai.app (April 8)
    • tux-ai.shop (March 30)

All current TuxAI websites were registered through Chinese registrar Aliyun (Alibaba).

Pattern of Chinese-Run Ponzi Scams

According to industry investigators, these “click-a-button” MLM Ponzi apps are commonly run by Chinese scammers based in Southeast Asia. Hundreds of similar schemes have been documented since 2021
