Scams Radar

DMCA Policy

The “Digital Millennium Copyright Act,” or DMCA, is a component of US copyright law.

ScamsRadar uses third-party logos and imagery while posting news and reviews about the multilevel marketing industry. This is allowed under Fair Use under US copyright law.

Publishers are allowed to use logos and pictures under fair use without the copyright holder’s consent.

At ScamsRadar, we take seriously our dedication to abiding by US copyright laws. We only use third-party logos and images to represent certain businesses or people about whom we write.

A copyright owner must swear under pain of perjury that they are not submitting a fake take-down notice in order to file a DMCA. It is an abuse of the DMCA take-down procedure to disregard whether Fair Use applies to the purported copyright infringement.

When copyright holders send false take-down notices, they are responsible for the claimed infringer’s expenses and legal fees.

Regarding filed take-down notices, ScamsRadar policy is to submit a counter-notice in response to each and every one that is received.

Any bogus DMCA take-down notices that we receive, together with the complete copyright owner’s details, are also posted to our DMCA Wall of Shame.
