A solo Bitcoin miner has captured global attention after securing more than $266,000 in rewards by solving a block with extremely limited computing power. This unexpected achievement proves that even in a world dominated by massive mining farms, independent miners can still experience extraordinary moments of success.
The miner solved block 924569 using only 1.2 TH per second, a fraction of the power used by large operations. Despite odds of nearly 1.2 million to 1, the miner earned 3.146 BTC, combining the block subsidy and transaction fees. CKpool creator Con Kolivas highlighted the rarity of this win and celebrated the miner’s remarkable luck.
This year has seen a surprising wave of solo miner victories. Reports show that 13 blocks have already been independently mined through CKpool, with rewards often crossing six figures. These wins signal that despite rising network difficulty, individual miners still have opportunities to earn substantial Bitcoin rewards.
