The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) has issued a pyramid fraud notice to Skainet Systems.
Skainet Systems shows “signs of a financial pyramid,” in accordance with the CBR’s warning from March 14.
Michael Baur, also known as Micha Baur, is a German citizen who operates the MLM trading scam Skainet Systems.
In January, Skainet Systems received a securities fraud notice from Germany’s BaFin. But Baur is in hiding in Dubai.
Late in 2024, Skainet Systems started to disintegrate. Skainet Systems’ website traffic had drastically decreased by the end of January, and the plan was in danger of failing.
New suckers were discovered in France last month. At the moment, Skainet Systems is being sustained by new potential victims in France.
82% of Skainet Systems’ website traffic came from France as of February 2025, according to SimilarWeb. Italy and Croatia account up the remaining 8%, both of which are declining.
The warning from CBR may indicate that Russian investors may be recruited this month or that previous Skainet Systems scams in Russia will be cleaned up.
