Robinhood Chain Hits Record $6 Million in Daily Fees

Robinhood Chain set a new single-day record with $6 million in fees on Friday, September 4. Fees over the prior seven days reached about $25 million. That marks a 17x jump from just $1.4 million the week before. The sharp rise shows strong recent activity on the Layer 2 network.
DEX Volume Doubles While User Metrics Shift
Total DEX volume for the week hit $12.4 billion, more than double the previous week’s total. Daily active accounts averaged 396,000, slightly lower than the prior week. Fees generated per active account rose sharply from $0.13 in mid-August to $15.90 by early September. The chain is extracting far more value from its existing users.
Pons Protocol Powers the Fee Surge
The growth traces back to Pons, now the leading token launchpad on Robinhood Chain. On September 3, Pons alone generated nearly $6 million in fees. That topped what both Pump.fun and Hyperliquid earned the same day. The PONS token reached an all-time high valuation above $970 million on September 5 and has climbed over 200% in the past week.
Reflexive Tokenomics Fuel Pons Momentum
Pons uses a highly reflexive model. Roughly 80% of its revenue goes toward token buybacks. More than 28% of the PONS supply has already been burnt. Future performance will depend on how many new token pools launch in the coming weeks. The flywheel could slow if trading volume declines.
