NewEra Exchange: Click-a-Button MLM Ponzi Scheme

Promotional graphic showing alleged partnership between New Era Crypto Exchange and D.E. Shaw & Co

NewEra Exchange operates as a multi-level marketing (MLM) “click a button” app that promises high returns through trading signals. Industry investigators at BehindMLM have tracked hundreds of similar scams since 2021. Most of these schemes are run by Chinese operators using recycled Ponzi models.

Fake Association with D.E. Shaw Group

Promotional image claiming New Era Crypto Exchange compliance with FinCEN and Canadian licensing authorities

NewEra Exchange claims to provide trading signals from the legitimate New York-based firm D.E. Shaw Group (DE Shaw & Co.). This is false. The company is misusing the name of a real multinational investment firm to lure victims and build false credibility.

False Regulatory Claims Exposed

NewEra Exchange tries to appear legitimate by showing:

  • A Canadian shell company registration

  • A FinCEN MSB (Money Services Business) certificate

Important facts:

  • Shell companies can be registered easily with fake details and offer zero real protection.

  • FinCEN is not a financial regulator. Anyone can get an MSB certificate without proper oversight. Scammers commonly use this tactic.

These documents do not mean NewEra Exchange is licensed or regulated in Canada or anywhere else.

Illegal Operations and Additional Warnings

NewEra Exchange is operating illegally in Canada by promoting an unregistered investment scheme. Similar fraud warnings have also been issued by regulators in:

  • Washington State

  • Alberta, Canada

Final Advice for Investors

Avoid NewEra Exchange completely. Any platform that combines MLM recruitment, “click a button” rewards, and fake trading signals is almost always a Ponzi scheme. Always verify registration with your local securities regulator before sending money.
