A lawsuit alleging that top distributor revenues were drastically reduced during the previous two years was resolved by Monat.
In June 2024, Toni Vanschoyck, a leading Monat distributor for more than ten years, filed a lawsuit.
Vanschoyck (right) said in her complaint that her commissions had decreased by 75% since 2022. Vanschoyck said that she had been making over $100,000 a month with Monat since 2015, before the slump.
Vanschoyck says Monat fired her in May 2024 after she questioned why her commissions had been cut.
Vanschoyck’s case was sent to mediation in November 2024.
A Final Mediation Report was submitted to the court on January 14th, notifying them that a secret settlement had been achieved.
The court concluded the case on January 15th after requesting that the parties submit a Joint Stipulation of Dismissal. On January 31st, Vanschoyck submitted the joint stipulation.
It’s unknown if any money changed hands because the settlement negotiated is private.
Vanschoyck said at the end of 2024 that she will start her own multilevel marketing business.
The website for FermaGlo advertises “fermented beauty products,” although it is presently under “pre, pre launch”:
On January 27, Monat reached a settlement in a different case that claimed the company’s founders operated the company like a “mafia family.”
Monat’s “mafia family” case was resolved in confidence by a mutual stipulation, same like Vanschoyck’s complaint.
