Saskatchewan FCAA Issues Alert Against HQI Exchange
HQI Exchange has been the subject of a securities fraud warning issued by Saskatchewan’s Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority (FCAA). The regulator published the alert on June 1, 2026, warning investors about the platform’s activities and its connections to other unregistered entities.
FCAA Warns Investors About HQI Exchange
According to the FCAA, HQI Exchange appears to be linked to BG Wealth Sharing Ltd. (BG Wealth), also known as BG Wealth Sharing Group, and DSJ Exchange PTY Ltd. The regulator stated that none of these companies are registered to trade or sell securities or derivatives in Saskatchewan.
The FCAA advised residents to avoid sending money to unregistered companies. Such entities may not operate as legitimate investment businesses and could expose investors to significant financial risks.
Unregistered Securities Offerings Are Illegal
The FCAA emphasized that offering securities without proper registration violates Saskatchewan’s Securities Act, 1988. Investors are encouraged to verify the registration status of any investment platform before committing funds.
Regulators continue to warn the public about online investment schemes that promise unrealistic returns while operating outside legal requirements.
HQI Exchange Linked to BG Wealth Sharing
HQI Exchange originally emerged under the name BG Wealth Sharing. The platform operated as a so-called “click-a-button” investment scheme. Such schemes typically generate revenue by recruiting new participants rather than through legitimate business activities.
Industry observers have linked BG Wealth Sharing to a network of similar online platforms that have appeared in recent years. These schemes often target investors through social media, messaging apps, and referral-based marketing campaigns.
The Role of “Professor Stephen Beard”
BG Wealth Sharing promoted itself using a character known as “Professor Stephen Beard.” The individual was presented as a financial expert and company representative.
However, investigations revealed that the character was portrayed by an actor using an AI-generated avatar. This tactic is commonly used by online investment scams to create a false sense of credibility and trust among potential investors.
