According to a news statement issued by Herbalife on March 12th, Herbalife Ltd. Today, it declared that it has signed a legally binding agreement to purchase all of the assets of Ventures Pruvit, Inc.
In 2015, LaCore Enterprises introduced the ketone supplement brand Pruvit.
Underwood and former Pruvit top promoter Michael Rutherford got into a court battle in June 2023, which resulted in a suspension of corporate pay and a “recent dramatic decrease” in distributor income.
According to Herbalife, Pruvit will continue to run freely under its existing ownership for a maximum of two years even if it plans to introduce its own line of ketone supplements.
Additionally, Herbalife said that it will purchase a “51% controlling ownership interest in Link BioSciences Inc.”
Link BioSciences is a well-known manufacturer that processes DNA, biometrics, biomarkers, and lifestyle data using patented technologies.
I couldn’t determine whether Link BioSciences is owned by LaCore. Link BioSciences is listed as an affiliate of LaCore Enterprises in court documents.
An estimated $25 million to $30 million will be spent on the deals, which are anticipated to conclude in the second quarter of 2025. Future performance may allow for further conditional payments.
Another LaCore Enterprises multilevel marketing business, Innov8tive Nutrition, recently declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy in addition to selling out Pruvit.
Several multilevel marketing businesses are still owned by LaCore Enterprises. There have been no public pronouncements about the companies’ futures.
