An early Ethereum investor has moved a large amount of ETH after more than 10 years of inactivity. The wallet transferred 10,000 ETH, worth around $23 million.

Blockchain data shows the address moved funds on Tuesday evening. The wallet, identified as “0xCD5…7a336,” had been inactive since 2015. It originally received ETH during Ethereum’s ICO phase.
The investor joined the Ethereum ICO in July 2015 with an investment of about $3,100. At current market value, the holdings have grown by more than 7,400 times. This highlights the long-term gains from early crypto adoption.
The purpose of the transfer is not confirmed. However, large movements from dormant wallets often suggest possible selling activity. Traders closely monitor such whale transactions for market signals.
This is not an isolated case. Several early Ethereum investors have moved funds during recent market cycles. In 2025, multiple dormant wallets became active again during the bull run.
Ethereum (ETH) is currently trading around $2,335. The price has seen a small daily increase. However, it still remains below its all-time high of $4,946 reached last year.
