Nearly $98.2 Million Returned to EminiFX Victims

The court-appointed Receiver for EminiFX has returned nearly $98.2 million to victims of the Ponzi scheme. This marks a significant increase from the $76.8 million reported 16 months earlier.

Distribution Progress and Remaining Funds

More than 28,000 users have received payments totaling almost $98.2 million.

About 4,000 eligible users still have roughly $3.4 million owed to them. These individuals either did not provide payment details or failed to cash checks sent to them. They remain eligible for a future distribution.

A second distribution of approximately $50 million is planned. Most of these funds are currently held in tax reserves pending IRS review of the Receiver’s tax returns or the end of the review period. Any unneeded reserves will become available for the next payout.

Clawback Case Against Founder’s Wife

Clarelle Dieuveuil, wife of EminiFX founder Eddy Alexandre and the scheme’s former CFO, filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy on June 3, 2026.

The Receiver had earlier sued Dieuveuil, alleging she misappropriated $500,000 from EminiFX. Her bankruptcy filing triggered an automatic stay on the clawback lawsuit.

The Receiver has reserved the right to seek relief from the stay and will notify the court if any related action is taken.

Background of the EminiFX Scheme

EminiFX was an MLM crypto Ponzi scheme that emerged in late 2021. The U.S. Department of Justice charged Eddy Alexandre in May 2022, initially describing it as a $59 million fraud. The CFTC also filed parallel civil charges.

Victim losses later grew to over $248 million. Alexandre pleaded guilty in February 2023 and was sentenced to nine years in prison in July 2023.
