Craig Grant’s BitConnect villa is now available on AirBNB.
Grant’s BitConnect villa is situated in Spring Garden, Jamaica, according to the following listing, which is currently active.
This Cockpit Country property, which is reachable via a private road and is surrounded by mountains, offers a tranquil setting.
It has Wi-Fi, a kitchen, laundry facilities, and two en suite rooms. You can stroll to a convenience store, a river, and a walking route.
After being charged by the SEC in May 2021, Grant left Florida for Jamaica.
After arriving in Jamaica, Grant started remodeling a family home using funds he had stolen via BitConnect.
It is this property punters can now book through Grant’s AirBNB listing.
Well, sort of. Rather than use his own name, Grant is renting out his BitConnect villa through long-time partner Yuliana Avalos.
Grant charges $50 per person every night. Notably, there is no hot water supplied.
The eventual consequence of Grant’s escape from SEC proceedings against him is a proposed $2.6 million default judgment order.
It’s unclear if the SEC would try to take Grant’s asset or assets in Jamaica in order to seek judgment. As an alternative, Grant would have to book almost 52,000 AirBNB rooms in order to meet the requirements.
It’s also unclear if AirBNB approves any homes linked to criminal earnings being featured on their website.
