ChatGPT maintains its 43% market share while Google launches a new AI model.

With a 43% market share, ChatGPT led the AI tools industry, while rival DeepSeek came in third with 6%. 

In a competitive scoreboard for AI-driven web development tools, Google placed second with their most recent experimental AI model, Gemini 2.5.

Google said on March 25 that developers will be able to test out Gemini 2.5 Pro. The business characterized it as a thinking model that can analyze ideas before reacting.

According to Google, this enhances performance and accuracy, especially in coding, scientific, and math jobs. It claimed that additional context-aware agents might be supported by Gemini 2.5.

Google said that the new AI model was the best in science, mathematics, logic, and knowledge, according to self-reported data gathered by the AI benchmarking site LMArena. Gemini 2.5 was referred to by Google as their “most intelligent AI model.”  

On the web developer scoreboard, Google's new model comes in second.

In LMArena’s WebDev leaderboard, a real-time AI coding competition where models compete in web development tasks established by the AI benchmarking platform, Google’s new AI model came in second.

With an arena score of 1267.70, the AI model outperformed rivals DeepSeek, Grok, and ChatGPT. However, with an arena score of 1354.01, Anthropic’s AI model Claude 3.7 Sonnet took first place.

The market for AI tools is dominated by ChatGPT.

The market for AI tools is still dominated by OpenAI’s ChatGPT, despite other businesses striving to enhance the performance of their models.

More over 40 billion visits per year were made to the AI chatbot in 2024, giving it a market share of around 40%. According to data from the AI statistics and use trends portal aitools.xyz, the market for AI tools received 101 billion visitors annually on average. With 10.4 billion visits, Canva’s AI generator gained a 10.25% market share and finished in second.

In the market for AI technologies, new competitors have emerged more lately. According to the statistics, DeepSeek’s AI products gained popularity in February and are now ranked third with a market share of 6.58%. With 792 million monthly views and a 195% growth rate, DeepSeek is also the most trending website.

With 5.2 billion monthly visitors and a 43% market share in February, ChatGPT is still the industry leader in spite of this.
