CFX Legacy securities fraud warning from Australia

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has issued a securities fraud notice to CFX Legacy.

On December 12, 2024, ASIC added CFX Legacy on its Investor Alert List.

It is probable that [CFX Legacy] provides financial services to Australian customers.

It is not authorized by a licensee and does not possess an Australian credit or financial services license from ASIC.

The infamous multilevel marketing scam CashFX Group was co-founded by Ron Pope and Huascar Lopez.

Since Cash FX Group went bankrupt for the second time in late 2021, Lopez, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, has not been seen in public.

Pope, a US citizen, founded Conversion Pros and serves as its CEO.

The website for CFX Legacy was created by Conversion Pros when it initially appeared in 2023.

An email addressed to investors in the Cash FX Group coincided with the emergence of CFX Legacy;

Note that the domain “cfxlegacy.com” was used for the launch of CFX Legacy. The original domain of CFX Legacy now raises fraud alerts in web browsers.

CFX Legacy was added to the UK’s FCA’s already-existing CashFX Group fraud alert in August 2024. The initial domain of CFX Legacy was mentioned by the FCA.

The domain “cfxlegacy.pro,” which was privately registered on August 17, 2024, is cited by ASIC.

Since November 2, 2024, attempts to access “cfxlegacy.pro” have been redirected to “cfxlegacy.site,” which was privately registered.

The latest iteration of CFX Legacy promises victims of CashFX Group “fund reimbursement” and is structured as a traditional recovery scam.

On our new website, we’re resolving the problems with pending withdrawals.

Please click the register button below to register your email address if you are experiencing trouble login into your account. Once you have done so, log in and follow the recovery procedures on your dashboard to get your old money back.

Depositing additional money to the fraudster operating the third CashFX Group recovery scam is the catch, just as in any other recovery scam.

Although I’m not certain, I believe the CashFX Group database has now been sold many times. Anybody who gives CFX Legacy more money is just making bigger loses.
The UK ended its criminal investigation of the initial CashFX Group Ponzi in December 2023, according to the most recent information we have. Since then, there have been no formal regulatory revisions.
