The sentence of three BitClub Network scammers has been delayed until February 2025.
Jobadiah “Joby” Weeks will be sentenced on February 6, 2025.
Joseph “Joe” Abel is scheduled to be sentenced on February 4, 2025.
Silviu Balaci is scheduled to be sentenced on February 20, 2025.
BitClub Network sentence has been repeatedly delayed since 2021.
Since rejecting a plea deal in 2020, Matt Goettsche has remained on parole pending trial. Russ Medlin was arrested on allegations of child sex in Indonesia in 2020. Since his arrest, Medlin’s circumstances have not been made public.
Gordon Beckstead acknowledged plotting to launder money in 2022. Beckstead has not yet been sentenced, thus there is no scheduled date for his sentencing.

In related news, on January 6th, Joby Weeks (right) will be heard for a bail breach. In 2021, the DOJ made the first motion to revoke Weeks’ bail.
Week’s release terms were lowered to house imprisonment by his pretrial services officer in March 2024. In April 2024, the court responded by making Week’s release terms “more restrictive.”
We will probably provide an update on the result of Weeks’ planned bond violation hearing on or around January 6.
Otherwise, we’ll either highlight more scheduling delays or discuss the BitClub Network sentencings in February. Keep an eye out.
Updated January 7, 2025 According to a January 3 status conference, Week’s lawyer requested that the hearing on the bond breach be postponed until January 22, 2025.
