Bitbank Launches Japan’s First Crypto-Linked Credit Card for Bitcoin Bill Payments
Japanese cryptocurrency exchange Bitbank has introduced a new Visa credit card that lets users pay everyday bills directly from their crypto holdings on the platform.
The “EPOS Crypto Card for Bitbank” is the first service in Japan that allows credit card payments to be settled straight from exchange balances.
Key Features of the Bitbank Crypto Card
- Pay Bills with Bitcoin: Users can automatically settle their monthly credit card bills in Bitcoin (BTC) from their Bitbank account.
- Crypto Cashback Rewards: Cardholders earn 0.5% cashback in cryptocurrency on all spending.
- Flexible Rewards: Rewards can be received in Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH), or Aster. All rewards are deposited directly into the user’s Bitbank account.
The card is currently limited to Bitcoin for bill settlements, but Bitbank plans to expand support for more cryptocurrencies in the future.
Partnership Details
Bitbank partnered with EPOS Card, the fintech arm of Marui Group, to launch this innovative product. The official rollout was announced on April 27, 2026.
Growing Trend in Japan
This launch follows Binance’s release of the “Binance Japan Card” in January 2026, which offers BNB rewards on spending. Bitbank’s card takes it further by enabling direct Bitcoin bill payments.
The move highlights the increasing adoption of crypto in everyday financial transactions in Japan.
