Background of the Aurum Collapse

Aurum was an MLM crypto Ponzi scheme that failed last month. Russian operators based in Dubai ran the scam while hiding behind CEO Bryan Benson. Benson, a Peruvian national, was last seen in a webinar on August 5 and may have disappeared. Co-founder Andrew Isaacs, believed to be South African and living in Dubai, now leads a “Neyro” reboot.

Claimed Partnership and $5 Million Offer

On August 24, Isaacs announced a strategic partnership with Tag Markets. He claimed Tag Markets would pay $5 million for Aurum’s investor database. Tag Markets is a Dubai firm run by Jared Esguerra and Niklas Freihofer. It has previously targeted failed schemes such as Crowd1 and Daisy Global. The planned reboot was named OrbitOne.

Conflicting Statements from Both Sides

Tag Markets quickly denied any deal. It stated no partnership, agreement, or fund commitment ever existed with Aurum. Aurum later claimed talks began but stalled when Tag Markets demanded the full partner structure. Aurum said it refused and paused the integration after community concerns. Experts note Tag Markets always requires full database transfers for its ibportal.io projects.

Regulatory Warnings and Investor Advice

Aurum has fraud warnings from the UK, Australia, Hong Kong, and several other countries. Tag Markets holds similar alerts from Russia, Austria, and Luxembourg. Top Aurum recruiters reportedly earned hundreds of thousands monthly, pointing to large total losses. Victims should file complaints with local regulators instead of waiting for further reboot promises.
