Scammers Impersonate DOJ to Target OneCoin Victims

Scammers are posing as the DOJ and Kroll Settlement Administration LLC. Their goal is to steal personal details from OneCoin victims. They use a fake website and forms to collect sensitive information. Anyone who responds risks further losses through recovery scams.

Real OneCoin Restitution Process Explained

The DOJ started a restitution process for OneCoin victims in April 2026. Kroll Settlement Administration LLC manages the claims. The official website is onecoinremission.com. The deadline to submit petitions ended on June 30, 2026. No new legitimate filings are possible after that date.

Details of the Fake OneCoin Remission Website

Scammers created a fake site on the domain onecoinremission(s).com. It was registered privately with NameCheap on August 8, 2026. The backend runs on Render at onecoinremission.onrender.com. The site hosts a form that steals victim credentials and stores the data on Render servers. It also offers a PDF claim form created by someone named Deep Patel.

How the Fake Site Leads to Recovery Scams

After submitting the form, users gain access to a Claimant Community Registry portal. Scammers can then request fees during a fake petition process. Any money paid only increases the victim’s losses. Email communication for the fake site is handled through Zoho.

Official Warning for OneCoin Victims

Kroll Settlement Administration has been notified of the fake website. The real petition deadline passed months ago. If anyone contacts you about filing a new OneCoin remission claim, it is a scam. Do not share personal details or pay any fees.
