On April 16, 2026, the Alberta Securities Commission warned that BitradeX is not registered to trade in or advise on securities or derivatives in Alberta.
The regulator advised investors not to deal with unregistered firms, as they offer no investor protections. Offering or promoting unregistered securities in Alberta is illegal and considered securities fraud.

BitradeX is a multi-level marketing (MLM) cryptocurrency platform with strong ties to China. The company uses well-known French footballer Olivier Giroud as its public face.
Giroud announced his role as BitradeX’s “Brand Ambassador” in June 2025. Despite the celebrity endorsement, BitradeX is not registered to offer investment services in any jurisdiction.
