30 Day Success Formula Scammers Convicted on Federal Fraud Charges

A federal jury in Wisconsin convicted Joseph E. Johnson Jr. and Candice V. Cunningham on March 11, 2026, after a four-day trial that began February 23, 2026. Both defendants were found guilty on all eight counts: one count of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and seven substantive counts of mail fraud.

The convictions stem from a multi-year operation running a series of pyramid schemes under various brand names, including:

  • Wealth Partners Publishing
  • Wealth Wise
  • Zero to Profit
  • 30 Day Success Formula
  • Lav Label
  • Beckett Group
  • DTR Group

The schemes ran from at least September 2015 through February 2023 and collectively defrauded victims of approximately $5 million, according to federal prosecutors.

30 Day Success Formula and Promoter Network

The 30 Day Success Formula brand was one of the most visible schemes in the sequence. BehindMLM publicly reviewed and classified it as an illegal gifting pyramid in 2019. Prominent promoters associated with the program included:

  • Justin Verrengia
  • Alex Zubarev
  • Aaron Rashkin
  • Alfredo Delgado
  • Mack Mills (also known as Mack Zidan)
  • Tom Yatar

To date, none of these promoters have faced criminal charges in connection with the case.

Indictment, Arrest, and Trial Timeline

Johnson and Cunningham were indicted in 2023 on the eight mail-fraud-related counts. Both were arrested on March 22, 2023, and entered not-guilty pleas at their March 29 arraignment.

After nearly three years of pre-trial proceedings, the case proceeded to trial in late February 2026. The jury deliberated and returned guilty verdicts on all counts by March 11.

Sentencing and Potential Penalties

Sentencing is scheduled for June 23, 2026. Each defendant faces a statutory maximum of 20 years imprisonment per count of mail fraud (7 counts each) plus an additional 20 years on the conspiracy count, although actual sentences are expected to be far lower under federal sentencing guidelines.

Restitution to victims and forfeiture of proceeds will also be addressed at sentencing.

Broader Context

The case is one of the larger successful prosecutions of U.S.-based gifting/pyramid schemes in recent years. The conviction reinforces federal authorities’ willingness to pursue multi-year schemes that rely on recruitment and “gifting” language to disguise illegal pyramid activity.

Investors and regulators continue to watch for any spillover charges against the high-profile promoters who helped scale 30 Day Success Formula.
