Scams Radar

Privacy Policy

Because of the nature of the platform, ScamsRadar, which is powered by WordPress, gathers and keeps data about website visitors.

A summary of all the ways we save your information when you use our website can be seen below.

The Contact Form and Comments

We save your username, email address, and website (if optional) when you post a comment on ScamsRadar. When you leave a comment, you voluntarily provide us this information.

We also keep track of your IP address in addition to this data, which is used to check for spam. In order to keep our website functioning, this data is saved each time a remark is made.

When you use our contact form, we also gather and save the name and email address you enter. We save the information you give us in your comments for as long as you like.

We keep the information you send us through the contact form until our email exchange is finished. The emails that we have received have now been erased.

Email correspondence may be permanently archived for future use under specific conditions, depending on the content.

Please take note that we never sell or give out saved information to outside parties.

When you post a comment, ScamsRadar automatically places a temporary cookie on your computer. This is done so that you don’t have to enter your commenter information again every time you post a remark because your browser will remember it. For a period of one year, the temporary cookie is in effect.

By turning off cookies in your browser’s settings, you can decide not to participate in this.

Subscriptions

You give us your email address when you choose to be notified when new articles are posted on ScamsRadar or when someone comments on an article. Until you choose not to receive the service or services for which you have subscribed, this information is retained to allow subscription services to operate as intended.

Please be aware that when you sign up for new articles and/or comments, we do not immediately add you to any other mailing lists or newsletters.

Advertising

When you visit our website, ScamsRadar uses third-party advertising businesses to display advertisements. These businesses may use information about your visits to this and other websites—but not your name, address, email address, or phone number—to show you ads for products and services that you might find interesting.

Project Shield

Project Shield is used by ScamsRadar to safeguard our website’s technological integrity. Google’s own Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) mitigation capabilities are being expanded as part of Project Shield in an effort to safeguard internet free speech.

To enhance Project Shield’s performance and service, we gather web traffic logs and other information about how we handle your traffic. Project Shield doesn’t gather information to target ads or enhance search results.
