An additional sixty days have been granted to victims of the Traffic Monsoon Ponzi scam to submit their claim information. 660 US and 9205 international victims of the Traffic Monsoon have submitted approved claims with enough information as of the first claim bar date, October 31st, 2024. They total more than $45 million.
Eligible claims were made by another 9685 victims, but their details were left out. These claims are worth around $13.7 million.
On December 23, the Traffic Monsoon Receiver filed a petition seeking a 60-day extension so that the second set of victims may submit their information.
Additionally, the Receiver requested authorization to send email-targeted Google and Facebook advertising to Traffic Monsoon victims who had not yet provided their information.
On January 8, the court granted the Receiver’s application, allowing the victims in the second group to submit their information on March 9.
The Traffic Monsoon Receivership now has slightly over $50 million, according to the Receiver’s most recent Status Report, which was submitted in September 2024.
